Since 1992, the Department of Theatre at The Pineville High Magnet Center for the Creative & Performing Arts has continually provided audiences throughout the region with amazing theatrical productions.  Refusing to compromise and settle for average, the nationally recognized program continues to grow, with over 130 students participating in a variety of challenging, educational and entertaining productions annually.

Kristopher Prestridge - Artistic Director

A graduate of Louisiana College with a MA in teaching and a BA in theatre arts, Mr. Prestridge is excited and eager to assume the role of PHS Artistic Director and continue the strong tradition of fine arts that Pineville High School is known for.

Kristopher has been involved in the Cenla arts community for nearly fifteen years, filling various capacities in productions with Family Playhouse, City Park Players, Lagniappe Theatre Company, and Theatre Louisiana College. He has also been a director and festival coordinator for Spectral Sisters Productions.

Lauren Treme - Assistant Theatre Director

Lauren Treme, assistant director, has been a member of the Cenla community for more than ten years. She is happily married to her husband Jeremy and together they have three amazing kids: Audrey, Emery, and Rosie. Lauren has a Bachelor's degree in Communication and is currently pursing her Master's in Education. Before becoming a teacher, Lauren worked in radio and television. She has over 20 years of theatre and communication experience. She is excited to be a part of Pineville High School's Performing Arts.


Zach Johnson - Technical Director

Zach, a English teacher at Pineville High will be assisting the theatre department. Born and raised in Pineville, Zach has experience in theatre and has a degree in Christian Studies as well as a minor in Computer Science from Louisiana College. When he’s not at the school you can find him as the Student Minister at Tioga First Baptist Church.

Megan Prestridge -Assistant Theatre Director

Also assisting the theatre department, Megan, also a English teacher at Pineville High and originally from Natchitoches, has found her love for teaching others and the arts through the years and is excited to be a part of the theatre team.
